October 12, 2017 Mai Farouk Mohamed Nour

The Korean language has become increasingly important due to the powerful economic standing, geopolitical importance and trade volume of South Korea. There are over 70 million people who speak Korean around the world and Korean is the official language of both North Korea and South Korea.

Korean has been classified by historical and modern linguists to be a language isolate, which means that it did not originate from any other language. The Korean alphabet, Hangul, consists of 24 letters: 14 consonants and 10 vowels.
